World Language Week @ WiHI! ~ March 10-14, 2014
LUNES: World Language buttons! Stop by C-14 from 2:45 - 3:30 to have world language students make you a button with a phrase you want to say in a different language! (Cost: $1 per button)
MARTES: ZUMBA!!! From 2:45 - 3:45 - take a Zumba class to get a taste of the latin rhythms that inspired this recent workout craze! (Cost: $2 per person - you MUST sign up in advance!! See Mrs. Crissman or Mrs. Terrell to sign up)
MIÉRCOLES: Meet and Greet with Mitzi Perdue! We have the GREAT privilege of having Mitzi Perdue (the wife of former CEO of Perdue Farms, Frank Perdue) come to speak with us!! She is a world traveler and a HUGE supporter of studying world languages. Mitzi is a fascinating woman who has degrees from both Harvard and George Washington University, was one of the U.S. Delegates to the United Nations Conference on Women in Nairobi, founded Salisbury University's Healthy U program, has written several books and over 1600 newspaper and magazine articles, and has hosted over 400 TV shows!! Take advantage of the opportunity to hear Mitzi's take on why we should study world languages and ask her questions! This will be in the WiHi Media Center from 2:45 - 3:45. (Cost: FREE!!)
JUEVES: ¡Vamos a comer! WiHi's annual Smorgasbord! Cost is $3 to enter OR bring an international dish to share (should be enough for 15-20 small samples).
