Para los padres
(for parents)
First and foremost, THANK YOU for taking an active interest in your child's education and adventures in language learning! This is my first year using a website and hope it is beneficial to both parents and students. Any feedback you have (positive or negative!) would be appreciated as I work to grow the site and make it as useful to my students and parents as I can.

¿Qué necesita mi hijo para esta clase?
(What does my child need for this class?)
1. A 3 ring binder (1-2 inches would be ideal).
2. Dividers (5 labeled: Calentamientos, Apuntes, Tareas, Pruebas, Proyectos)
3. Loose leaf paper
4. Writing utensils (pen or pencil is okay for all classwork and homework - no markers please).
5. A pocket (can be in the side of the binder or a separate folder. Some smaller pages may not be hole-punched).
6. A positive attitude and to be ready to learn, work, and have fun every day!
Optional:
- Spanish-English dictionary (online dictionary available at www.wordreference.com)
- Internet access (online textbook at my.hrw.com can be very helpful!)
- Colored pencils (I have some but do not have a class set, so if we are doing an activity using them, having some students bring their own helps!)
- Tissues/Hand sanitizer - I go through roughly 10 boxes of tissues every year and the school does not provide any them. This means they come out of my own pocket. If you have a box of tissues or extra bottle of hand sanitizer to donate, it would mean a lot to me and my students!

My child is struggling, what can I do??
Many parents are convinced that since they do not know a foreign language (or took it MANY years ago...) that they can not help their child be successful in a language class and that is the farthest thing from the truth!! There are many easy things you can do to ensure your child's success in my class this year. The document below gives some tips on ways you can encourage them from home! If these strategies are not working, please contact me or have your child set up after school tutoring.

2. Writing utensils - most students prefer pencil but I do not mind pen if they write neatly.
3. Loose-leaf paper
