¡Bienvenidos y espero que tú estés listo empezar este año! Durante este año, vamos a abrir la puerta a un mundo nuevo - el mundo de español. Espero que todos van a aprender mucho de la lengua y también de la diferencia en la cultura de los paises latinos. También, vamos a hablar de la importancia de conocer español en la sociedad de hoy. ¡Gracias por estudiar conmigo!

English: Welcome and I hope you are ready to start the year! This year we are opening a door to a new world - the world of Spanish. I hope you are ready to learn about the language and also the difference between the cultures of the Spanish-speaking countries. We are also going to talk about the importance of knowing Spanish in today's society. Thank you for taking my class!

We will not be using a textbook frequently outside of class so I do not assign students a textbook. If you would like a copy of the book to keep at home for the year, please see me to sign one out.
